Brentford Boating Arch

The Club’s main base is Brentford Boating Arch which has has been providing water sport lessons (canoe and kayaking) and development training programmes to schools, youth and community groups since 2007.  It is owned and operated by Brentford Football Club Community Sports Trust.

The Centre is fully accessible and comprises two Arches – one houses the boat store, the other changing rooms, classroom and toilets.

Transport Options:

  • Rail: Kew Bridge (from Clapham Junction, Richmond, Hounslow or Waterloo) (about a 2 minute walk) (Note: there are faster and longer services from Clapham Junction / Waterloo – make sure you get the faster one!)
  • Tube: Gunnersbury (District) (15 min walk or bus)
  • Buses: 65, 237, 267, and 391
  • Car: On the street parking on Strand on the Green – free of charge but available space can be limited at times. Parking restrictions are in operation: Mon-Fri 10-12noon & 6-8pm and Sat & Sun 2-4pm.
  • Cycle: Bikes can parked on bike stands nearby

Chelsea Kayak Club is proud of its association with South East Kayaking, whom offer coaching and trips at locations around the South East of England.  Coach Rob Davis runs some coaching sessions on behalf of CKC in the London area.
